Google Challenge HAMU 2026

I would like to recommend the Google Challenge HAMU 2026, a free initiative promoted by the 10 universities of the Abruzzo-Marche-Umbria Hub (HAMU) in collaboration with Google for Education, which the University of Perugia supports with its patronage. It is an opportunity to experiment with Google's AI tools, such as Gemini and Google Notebook, working on real-world projects together with students from other universities.
- The event takes place in two phases:
The initial phase will be held on Friday, November 13, 2026, in three venues, which will be selected among the 10 HAMU universities and announced in the coming weeks. The day is organized as follows:- Morning: Gemini Academy for Student, a masterclass with Google for Education.
- Afternoon: team challenge (teams of 5-7 students) on 4 project themes, from the initial idea to a proposal to be presented to a committee.
- The final phase will take place at the University of L'Aquila by the end of November (date to be confirmed), and will be open to the best proposals from the initial phase.
Participation is free, and you do not need to have a team already: teams are formed by the organizers. All participants will receive a Google for Education Certificate of Attendance.
To apply, you must be enrolled in a bachelor's, master's or single-cycle master's degree program at one of the HAMU universities. Applications are individual and must be submitted by November 3, 2026 through the online form available at https://hamu.univaq.it, where you can also find the full program and further information. Please read the attached regulations carefully.
The posters (in English and Italian) and the regulations are attached.
I encourage you to take part!
