H2Excellence aims to establish a platform of Centers of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) in the field of fuel cells and green hydrogen. The goal is to foster innovation, sustainability, and high-quality skills for clean energy systems, enhancing collaboration among educational institutions, research centers, and industry stakeholders across Europe.
The project involves a total of 23 international partners and is coordinated by OY VAASAN AMMATTIKORKEAKOULU - VASAYRKESHOGSKOLA (Finland).
The University of Perugia (UNIPG) plays a key role in the project. It is the task leader of Task 3.3, titled “Design and deployment of EQF level 6-8 training programme”, which involves the development of 10 university-level teaching modules on hydrogen and fuel cells aimed at students enrolled in Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD programs. Furthermore, UNIPG is the coordinator of the “European/international competition for the selection of best Master and PhD theses in the area of fuel cells and hydrogen”, as part of Task 4.3 titled “Open innovation, competitions and flagship projects design and deployment with universities, R&D, and industry”. This activity includes the launch and management of a cash prize award for outstanding academic work in the hydrogen and fuel cell sector.
